| I was talking to my Mom, and she told me that my ex-husband was going to move to Taiwan to teach English. I can't say that it's the first thing I'd have expected him to do, but I know he always wanted to travel to different places, and meet different sorts of people. I know that moving away from home has been a really positive thing for me. It's not easy, but I feel like I've grown so much more from it. Getting far away from home is so important, especially if your mother (as all mothers do) have a hard time letting go at first. As S always says - the frogs in the pond are smart - as soon as they're big enough, they get as far away from their first pond as possible.
Anyway, if he happens to be browsing by this, I want to wish him the best. I'm glad he has new dreams and positive goals and a fresh outlook on life. Safe travels, Bryan. | comments: Leave a comment |
| Does he have a teaching certificate? There has been a crackdown on unqualified teachers in the Far East over the last several months.
Regardless, as long as he stays out of trouble the pay, I understand, is great, and the students treat their English teachers as gods! And how are you? Good I hope? :) | | (Reply) (Thread) |
